On The Avenue of Tennessee is a 501c3 tax-exempt organization that provides services and resources to help adults with intellectual or learning disabilities build confidence and community so that they can live as independently as possible.
Your generous giving and support help On The Avenue provide scholarships, maintain state-of-the-art technology and offer engaging programming to our Citizens at our Berry Hill campus. From job training, life skills workshops, our custom curriculum of Independent Assignment Based Learning to community partnerships, field trips and social activities, On The Avenue inspires, informs, educates and entertains adults with disabilities in a way that is unique for them and their families.
We all want a place where we are accepted for who we are and friends that love it when we walk through the door. On The Avenue is that safe place for adults with disabilities. The inclusive atmosphere is welcoming, nurturing and loving.
On the Avenue uses creativity to build confidence and community in our Citizens. This is a vital part of what it takes for adults with disabilities to pursue employment and live a full life. While we are not an employment agency, we provide an environment of collaboration and expectation to build the necessary skills, habits and tools to become a good employee or contributing citizen.
On the Avenue partners and collaborates with organizations and agencies to provide affordable housing solutions for those adults with disabilities ready to live on their own.
